Southern Brooklyn Officials Endorse Eric Adams for Mayor

Yesterday, Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams was endorsed for New York Mayor by Southern Brooklyn elected officials State Senator Diane Savino, Assemblymember Peter Abbate, Councilmember Justin Brannan, and State Senator Andrew Gounardes.

“The outer boroughs have long been neglected by City Hall, with communities on Staten Island and in Southern Brooklyn on the losing end of the fight for more resources and more support for decades. But that ends now — now, we say to the hardworking women and men of Southern Brooklyn, Staten Island, and all throughout New York City: This is our time to be seen and to be heard,” said Adams.

“I’m honored and humbled to have the support of so many dedicated public servants across the five boroughs, and I know that words can hardly do our movement justice!”

Adams is a former NYPD Captain and State Senator who presently serves as the Brooklyn Borough President.
