Sen. Marty Golden Endorses Inna Vernikov For City Council

New York City Council candidate Inna Vernikov (R-C, 48th District) this week has secured a prominent endorsement, that of former State Senator Marty Golden, who before his 16 years in the New York State Senate was a decorated New York City Police Officer, small business owner, and City Councilmember.  Golden endorsed Vernikov outside the 61st Precinct on Coney Island Avenue.

In his endorsement, Senator Golden stated, “Inna Vernikov is the right candidate for this time to represent this district, and I am proud to endorse her for the 48th Council District.  Inna is a strong supporter of law and order, and the men and women of the NYPD. The current City Council has failed New York. I only expect the next City Council will continue on the same path, pushing forward an agenda that will increase our City budget and fail to make us any safer. We need someone like Inna to fight back for the good of us all. Inna has the knowledge to serve this community and our City well, and I look forward to campaigning with her to victory.”

As a member of the New York State Senate representing District 22, Golden represented a significant portion of neighborhoods that comprise the 48th Council District including Manhattan Beach, Sheepshead Bay, Homecrest, and Midwood.

Inna Vernikov, born in the Ukraine and raised in Brooklyn, is now a business owner and attorney. Inna is a Board Member and Chair of the Women’s Committee of Americans Against Antisemitism. She previously served as a Special Assistant for former Assemblyman Dov Hikind. To learn more about Inna Vernikov and her campaign, visit her website at innavfornyc.com.
